Sustainable Development
Our Group aims to increase and develop its business relying on three major strategic assets:
  • efficient production and administration processes
  • growth and development of its market portfolio
  • research of innovating products and applications.
In particular, our Group is committed to:
  • integrating its strategies on industrial efficiency and innovation with those on climate protection, reducing dependence on non-renewable resources promoting the abatement of air emissions
  • linking its development in emerging markets (itself a positive source of value creation) with its values of equality, universal participation and guarantees of human rights, in recognition and promotion of local culture and traditions
  • conducting its business consistent with its adopted corporate governance systems and in a spirit of continuous dialogue with stakeholders.

Italcementi formalised its natural commitment to the protection of the environment and to social responsibility joining the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 2000.

Socli follows strictly same politic to develop its business in accordance with group interest. All plants follow strict procedures of environmental protection and are committed to Quality. Lead by Izaourt and Sauveterre factories, certified ISO 9001 and 14001, the Environmental and Quality policies are part of the daily practices followed by all co-workers. Safety is also in the heart of concerns in each plant for workers and neighbours.
